WHS and Samsung HDD
I've read a few threads talking about problems with Seagate HDDs and I have 4 installed in my server. I've been having intermittent problems with losing files and I was targeting the Seagate drives but they seem to be fine. I traced some files to the Samsung drives and decided to replace them. Since there have been some good buys lately on WD Caviar Green 2TB drives (I've purchased 5 for $99 each) I've replaced the Samsung with the WD and so far no problems. The particular Samsung drive is model HD103UI. It took about 3 days to remove them from WHS.
I have a total of 9 bays in my server case and they are all filled.
