Media Center Import Problems

To workaround the problems that I reported with getting an
(ERROR -2): Files selected for playback are no longer on the disk
on two of my Mac clients I have tried importing the video files into Sage Media Center by setting up Media Center directories. This seemed to 'stick' part way through importing all my video assets (at 3577 files) so I then attempted to remove the import directories but even after the directories are removed from the list & the Import Media is refreshed I still see the 3577 files in my imported Video folder. The 'Refresh Imported Media' icon has been permanently displayed for the last few days but no progress is made adding or removing any of the video files.

Is there some way of 'clearing out' the imports & then is there some way of finding out where the problem lies with not importing all the files?

If those files are on network paths, my initial guess would be that the SageTV server can't access the import paths where those files are located & thus doesn't remove listings for files it can't currently see, in case it is a temporary inability to locate the files. Check the detailed info for one of them to gets the path where SageTV thinks the file is located.

Alternatively, check the debug log to see if the import scan is getting locked on a single file it can't read & doesn't move on.

Removing all import directories & adding them back again seems to have cleared the blockage. Oh dear though that Video Browser interface is so unwieldy for my many thousands of videos. I can't seem to lose the thumbnail images & making the font small enough to fit the filename onto the thumbnail means that it's too small to read.

Oh well back to the drawing board & try to figure out why I get (ERROR -2): Files selected for playback are no longer on the disk when using the File Browser.
