Remove repeated channel numbers

I have repeated channel numbers in my directv lineup. I have 202 CNN and 202 CNNHD. I don't want both. This happens quite often. Is there an easy way to remove the duplicates? I am using an HD PVR and a DirecTV box HR202 I believe. So each number really doesn't matter they are the same channel.

Thanks!

Neil

Since these channels are both from the DirecTV box you could get away with disabling the non-HD channel (assuming that the programming is the same for both channels).

I had a similar yet different problem where my HDPVR was tuning the HD channel (CNNHD) and my analog tuner was tuning non-HD (CNN). The program guide lists by channel name so I set up my non-HD channel as CNNHD. This resulted in only CNNHD being displayed in the lineup. When I pick it, by default, the HD channel is tuned. If that's not available it then tunes the non-HD channel.

Yeah I have that option but this is actually an issue where the numbers are repeated by the lineup and not by the box itself.

I was looking for some bulk way to remove the repetitions or even the file to edit. There are a ton of channels that need to go!

You've only gotta do it once.. just go through your channel lineup and disable the SD channels.

Yeah I did it once but blew out those sources since they were HD PVR's and I had problems. How do I back up the lineup so I never screw it up again?

I got to channel 400 last night and will work on it more tonight!

I believe those are stored in the sage.properties file.

If you are using Sage 7 there is a plugin for importing and exporting channel lineups. It works great. Since it exports to a file you could probably just edit it before importing it back in.

So this is weird. I removed a lot of channels and I noticed that the DT versions don't show up on my program guide on my HD200?!

I unselected the HD / DT version and selected the non version and it shows! Why in the world is that?

Looks like this was an issue with local channels only! I guess there was no guide data and that was why it didn't show?! That doesn't seem right...
