Online Videos (Youtube/Google)

I upgraded to 7.0.11 today. I love it. Everything is working nicely except for online videos. No matter what I select I get "The content is being buffered, it will play in a few seconds" message. And then a split second of the video followed by a blank screen. Fast Forward and Rewind don't do anything. Pressing stop puts me back at the main menu. Anyone have a similar experience?

Regards,
---Wayne

Check to make sure your C: drive isn't full, Sage might be trying to download the videos but running out of space.

Online Videos (Youtube/Google)

I checked and I have 25GB free on C and 800GB free on D. Thanks anyway.

I get the same behavior on the main SageTV server and my three HD200 extenders.

Having the same issue here just happened one day all of a sudden more online stuff. And it does it with everything can't find an issue in the logs looking into reinstalling beta. It'll have to wait as I'm transcoding a lot of videos right now. It may be a possible plugin update, since that's the only thing that's changed on my system. I believe most of the updates were for BMT and imdb stuff but there is no way to know what update could of caused this. It may also just be a bug in sage. But I won't know till I can reinstall.

I had this happen once. I had to restart my server and my HD extender to get it working again. my 2 cents.

wbarber69, I suspect you are correct regarding plugins. I added the BMT and IMDB plugins. Unfortunately I had not tried the online portion of Sage before I added plugins so I can't be sure it was working. I'll disable all plugins and see what happens.

Add me to the list. Running the latest Sage7 beta with multiple plugins including BMT, TVExplorer, Sagemc, PlayOn, cpu and pagefile monitor and some others. It happens in SageMC and Sage7 default.

Almost the same here. It would start to load. Green bar ticking upward, but would never play. I changed codecs and got it to play, although choppy. BUT I cannot get audio. None.

For what it's worth, no Playon and zero problems with online videos...

yeah playon here too. I noticed something today on one of my extenders. I have an mvp and its slow to do anything these days, well it would always start playing the online vids in the background while still showing the loading screen then it would pause after it had loaded the new screen. It started doing that but then when it went into the video I was back to not being able to play or even see any info for the online vids so its definitely a ui problem

Just tried it without PlayOn, same issue.

It starts to play, I hear a second or two of audio, but then it tunes to the last viewed (it seems) channel from the EPG. And no, i don't have the last viewed EPG pluggin installed.

I'm running a WHS version of Sage Server. I've tried this using the placeshifter and my HD-200. Result is the same.

Is everyone else running WHS?

Again, looking for some commonality.

Peace!

I decided to approach this problem scientifically. I began having this problem when I went a little crazy and installed several plug-ins at once. I had not associated my online problem with these plugins until I read this thread.

Anyway, to the solution: I simply went through my plugins and one by one, disabling them until the problem went away - and it did go away!

Drum roll please.....

The cause was the Recently Watched plug-in! When I re-enable it, the problem returns. I have re-enabled all my other plug-ins and the problem has not reoccured.

My suspicion is that there is a bug in this plug-in that causes the hang problem.

I hope this works for the rest of you.
