Thanks for getting this ported!

This was really missed. It looks and works great.

A couple of observations, it does not look like the mini-guide is adhering to the timeouts set in the customize menu. I have my menu's disappear after 2 seconds and the miniguide stays up closer to 5 secs.

Secondly, how do you get rid of it once it's up? Is there a button that can be pushed to make it go away faster? I tired hitting info and back and neither worked.

It should be adhering to the value set in Detailed Setup / Customize / Inactivity Timeout & OSD Autohide which does default to 5 secs.

I've never had a need to make it go away faster. I didn't notice anything in the code to do that.

Does this work on extenders? When I press the Guide button while watching liveTV, I get the normal full screen guide.

I had the "EPG Back on Guide" plugin installed, so I removed it to see if it was messing up the mini guide, but removing it had no effect. I even rebooted the extender after removing it to see if that did anything.

Trying to running it on a HD-100.

Thank you for the plugin! I knew about it before, but hadn't really used it. With v7, it's a natural fit.

Appreciate the effort involved...

I tested it very quickly and I have quick suggestion (though this may be there and I just didn't know to look for it) -- the mini guide is very transparent with white font. When tuned to a channel with a "ticker" or other show info at the bottom (e.g. sports channel) with dark backgrounds, you can hardly make out the guide at all.

I think if the mini guide background was more opaque (or an option to adjust it), it would help... but even so, when on a channel like ESPN which was using a black background at the bottom of the screen, the mini guide would have to completely block out the bottom part of the screen to be readable...

you have to use the up or down arrow to launch the mini-guide. the GUIDE button will pull up the full EPG.

In 0.98 I've theme enabled the background image and transparency. I've also changed the default transparency and provided an option (Detailed Setup/ Customize / MiniGuide options) to adjust it if there is no theme value for it.

When browsing on the MG it does not seem to return to the tune channel ever. The only way to get back the MG back to the tuned channel is to the tune the channel manualy by memory. Is this right? Does everybody else behave this way? I thought it use to return to the tune channel after it disspeared from the OSD. Maybe I am wrong and this is a behavior of Dish TV or cable.

I think there's an option to do this in Setup.

Yes, there's a setting that can be changed that affects the channel that's shown first in the mini guide.

THanks

Thanks for the update to the plugin so it works with 7. I have missed this in version 7.

This plugin is terrific. Working great on both HD100 and HD200. I can't believe Sage didn't put it directly in ver. 7. Thank you!

A nice plugin it works well, but I second Peter's observations. I'd especially like to be able to hit info to make it go away, just like with other osd. Any chance of that feature being added?

There's some changes I'll need to make due to the theming changes in 7.0.12 so I'll add "info to go away" at the same time.

If it's not too hard, and it works ok, 'Left' to go away is a nice touch also. That's how SageMC works, and would make ex-MC folks more comfortable.....
