Plucky,

The wrapping on this works kind of strangely. It wraps back to the beginning if you go from left to right, but it won't wrap to the end going from the right to the left. This is on all levels of menu. It would be really nice if it worked both ways.

Two quick questions.

1. Is it possible to replace the backgrounds with my own? if so where and how?
2. The submenu items seem pretty spaced out (especially online services) WAF considered she doesnt always know there is more stuff to the right so she cant find things, especially on Online Services. Would it be possible to add a "spaced, normal, compact, very compact" type option to push them together more so more show up initially?

Thanks for the awesome theme

yeah the wrapping is a bit weird not going both ways it does in tables but the menu is in panel widgets and I don't know if you can make those wrap both ways will have to check

1. yes you can override any of them in the plucky theme directory however remember the theme is not required and you can use the default or any other theme you like
2. Agreed will see what I can do there on next release

I have a different STVi that adds a new item to the top-level menu. It shows "null" for the added menu item even if I rename it in the options menu. It seems to store the new name properly (recalls it when I bring up the options menu) but doesn't use it.

Yeah that is a bug. You won't be able to rename added menu items
by other stvis unless they add the properties needed but I will
fix it to show their name.

Hide unwanted menu items, all levels?

Is there somewhere that the links in different levels of the menu can be turned off and on? I see this mod puts menu in different locations and allows you to rename some main menus. Could this be set to do the different levels of the menu and keep the current vertical style?

The kids will click on menu items if they are there, even if not used.
Example.. I use Netfix that is on our Bluray player, not SageTV. I use Hulu on SageTv and not Bluray player. Could we have the option to turn off menu items we don't use?

Thanks

In image below I would more than likely only have 'weather' and 'Hulu' active.

OK, if I am using the MB Diamond theme but want to use the PluckyHD theme backgrounds, can I install both or will they overwrite? Alternatively, can I download your jpeg's somehow?

I can't view the screen shots in the first post. Says the IP address is restricted. You may want to consider putting the files on a DropBox account in the public folder.

IN theory, download the pluckhd theme and then go to the file system and copy the backgrounds into the mb diamond theme.

Correct

Also wanted to let everyone know I haven't been ignoring this little project and do plan on releasing an update after SMM release. It should add some of what people are wanting and fix a couple of bugs. I am not going to far with this yet as I am holding out hope for a true dynamic menu.

Cheers

Wow, that's weird. Looks like I am blocked from the babgvant.com site!!! Not sure why. I have been to the site before but haven't ticked anybody off that I know of to warrant being blocked. Here is the error message when I try to go to the site...

"The Web server you are attempting to reach has a list of IP addresses that are not allowed to access the Web site, and the IP address of your browsing computer is on this list."

Tweaked graphic

I've been using the menu mod in conjunction with the MBDiamond theme and wanted to them to look more unified so I did a very simple edit to the PluckyMainMenuBG.png.

If you want to use my modified menu just replace the image in \SageTV\SageTV\STVs\SageTV7\Plucky's Menu Mod with mine and restart Sage.

I would recommend that you back up the original file so it's easy to switch back if you'd like.

Download the PNG here

I'm certain that I must be searching with my eyes closed, but I haven't seen the download location for this. I looked through the download section, but I didn't notice it. Is it still available?

Also from the comment above, it must be compatible with the diamond theme, is that correct?

Thanks,
Mike

This is a SageTV 7 plugin and theme available form the plugin manager contained within SageTV 7. That's why it is in the SageTV 7 Customization forum.

Only compatible with the Themes found in the "Themes" section of the V7 plugin repository. Like, "Plucky's Theme", "MBDiamond", "Serenity" etc...

The "Diamond UI Mod and Theme" (found in the UI Mod section) is not compatible with Plucky's Horizontal Menu Mod. Menu graphics get a bit crazy if you install with Diamond UI Mod, I just tried

Cheers,

Jeremy
