Is there a way to Group Imported Video Folders?
Hi,
Just wondering if there's a way to group imported video folders? I have the same directory across multiple drives. Called "Movies" and when in folder view (which I like the best). I see 4 folders all called "Movies".

While in Folder view, use Options -> Menu Options -> Folder Display Style -> change to Combined.

So I have a Canon Videos folder for example. Now I see a bunch of AVI's in the "root" of where I have movies. I guess the feature isn't there... ie: D:\Movies E:\Movies G:\Movies In Folder view it would be cool if I just saw "Movies", but I guess I'm the only one. Plus combined view is very similar to "Titles" view

So, if you want to see a list of folders first in combined mode, then add another directory level under "Movies", because I'm sure you don't want to move the import path up to the drive letter level. - Andy

Maybe you're experiencing the same issue that I was. Andy described it in my previous post, "Did you previously use one of the customizations to set metadata for the imported files? If so,it sounds like the known issue where the customization wrote over the path offset info when it wrote the video's title data."
Using a rescan, I was able to rectify some of my issue where I was getting some combined folders and a bunch of files that get dropped into the root directory even though they exist in unique folders. Once my rescan was done, some of those unique folders were now visible but I moved some files around and Sage doesn't seem to be able to see that the files have moved to a new location despite repeated Import Directory Rescans. I have a bug report submitted on this. |

If the videos are in the root of the import path, there is no bug.

True, he didn't mention if they were in a folder or not. Mine are in folders but they show up in the root directory although the first rescan seemed to help by displaying the unique folders then I made it worse by moving the files between folders and Sage responded by placing them visually back into the root directory. Subsequent rescans aren't helping for some reason. Let me stop hijacking this thread with my issues though.
