Is the STX-HD100 retired?

Is Sage going to be selling HD100s again or have those been retired? Are the HD200s the only extenders now?

Thanks,
Jeff

The HD-200s have been out of stock for about two weeks. When this happened to the HD100s they were soon superceded by the HD200s. So perhaps the HD200 is about to be replaced as well...

and, we should add, both HD100 and HD200 play exceptionally with SageTV7 so it's not as though they have serious limitations that have been overcome by a fictitious newer model.

Actually, the HD100s were out of stock several times and came back each time, before the birth of the HD200. So no real reason to start speculation.....

... or... is... there........ ?

I started using Sage in about Aug 08. Shortly thereafter (ie. within a few weeks) I wanted to get an extender but they were out of stock and never came back into stock. The HD200 was announced in the first week of December 2008.

Yup, it was before that when they went out of stock and then came back. You could probably go back through the threads here and find the discussion of it (I've never looked to see how many threads stay around here and whether they are still there).

Believe me, when the HD100 was all there was (almost universally as an HD extender, not just within Sage), and people were clamoring for them, and they were out of stock, there was much grief and gnashing of teeth...
