Just curious on how people are hooking up their STX-HD100s.

I went single cable HDMI as I need the tv to do the audio switching between sources. My surround is kinda lame that way due to size constraints of the shelf it's in.

I am the component/spdif, but I recently got my HDMI cables delivered and will be switching over. No hurry because the component on my 1080p 60" looks great as-is. My other problem is my component runs through my receiver so I never have to switch my tv input when switching between sage, xbox and wii. It is just nice not messing with the tv input, but will be programming my mx-700 to handle that part anyway.

The one I have now is component with SPDIF for audio because my Pioneer Pro-710HD only has analog inputs.

I currently want two more extenders. One for the bedroom which will be HDMI to DVI for the video and SPDIF for audio to the receiver. The other will be HDMI only for the exercise room TV.

I have three tvs in th house and and one with HDMI, another is RGB_rca stereo and the last with rca.

Now if I had enough Stx-100 units then I would use all the connections that the stx offers, one per tv. Also the tv with HDMI, I use the hdmi for stereo to the tv and if I watch a movie I turn on the my Marantz

since your poll doesn't include taking the only stx box you have and moving it around the house while you watch tv until more is in stock to order

HDMI for both for me, but I can't use 1080p regardless of the cables, etc. with my unit.

I really wish there was a fix for that.

HDMI for me as well, and 1080P wont work through my Denon AVR. Connected directly to my TV and 1080P will work. Its the only HDMI device of 4 total that wont play nice with 1080P through the AVR.

Unfortunately I'm still on Svid because I don't have an HDTV yet. Hopefully by the end of the year if not much sooner. Once I get one I'll probably be using HDMI for video and S/PDIF for audio. I can't wait to get an HDTV.

I think I'm a little bit behind the times... I have mine using svideo to a 1992 TV and analog audio going to a 1987 stereo... a high quality stereo, but still almost 21 years old now!

I use a single hdmi cable for both audio and video. It sends 1080p to a Sharp 32" AQUOS LCD TV with native 1080p resolution.

Even the SD looks better on this setup!

I did vote for HDMI video/audio for my first HD100, but I'll do HDMI for video and S/PDIF for audio on my second. When they are back in stock, in a couple of weeks (hint, hint!) that is.

When I get one, it will be hooked up via component and S/PDIF to an autopatch matrix switch so I can distribute the output to all the TVs in my house.

When I get one (or two), it will be via HDMI solely. Still waiting.....

I did not vote as I currently do not own one and can't attest to the quality of the HDMI connector.

I believe I am experiencing the same issue. HDMI with video@1080p and audio works going straight to the TV, but if I connect that to my new Sony receiver, the audio doesn't work. Were you able to get 1080i to work? I haven't tried that yet.

I would really prefer to do both over HDMI, but I've had to go back to HDMI video and SPDIF audio until they get it resolved (which is why I voted HDMI/SPDIF).

I have two units, one on S video and the other on Composite. I will eventually get a 3rd one and hook it up with HDMI.

HDMI

I actually output HDMI to my TV for both Video and Audio.. but I also run the Optical to my stereo receiver for when I really want to shake things up!

So.. we need another option in that poll!
