Rolling back and having problems with my HD Home Run

I am trying to go back to 6.6 from the beta of 7. I don't know what I was thinking but 7 just isn't for me - not yet!

Anyway I can't use my HDHomeRun. When I tried to re-add the device or search for channels because none would work within sage I get an error saying
there was a Capture error in playback. There was a problem using the capture device. Please be sure you have the latest drivers installed for your capture device, and that they are installed correctly.

Any ideas?

I'm having the same problem... HDHOMERUN wouldn't work in V7 and when I roll back to V6, I'm getting the same message...

There was a capture error in playback

Error -4.0x80004005: There was a problem using the capture device. Please be sure you have the lastest drivers installed...

I've updated the HDHOMERUN as far as it will go and rebooted everything in my house. Still no luck.

Now I can't use my hdhomerun in version 6.6 or 7.1.9

The latest HDHomerun driver's cause me problems as well. I just upgraded the drivers didn't change anything else and got the above problems - was already using V7.1.9 of SageTV. I had to use a restore point and go back to older drivers to get it working again. I'm currently using the 20110323 version. And have no plans to upgrade them after the previous problems I had. I turned off the upgrade notifications also.

I didn't upgrade my HDHOMERUN drivers/software to start with. I just left them as-is. The update to Sage V7 broke my ability to talk to the HDHOMERUN. In an attempt to fix the problem, I upgraded my HDHOMERUN to the latest version of firmware/software after I upgraded to SageV7 (and it suggested I updated my tuner drivers). Then I reran all channel scans in both the hd software as well as Sage. Still no-go. I tried restoring my old version of SageV6 by copying the folder back over and removing V7. Still no-go.

I wound up restoring my SageV6 installation with Norton Ghost and everything was fine again, even with my HDHOMERUN running the new version of firmware (and software).

The only thing I can think of would be permission errors on folders or files in Windows XP. I have had several problems in the past with Sage with file/folder permissions.
