Error when trying to play blurays

Sorry if this info is covered elsewhere but I'm having trouble getting a bluray to play from a folder in V7. This is on a win7 64bit home premium server running the latest version of sage client. Anytime I pick a bluray I get the error "ERROR: (-4,80004005) There was an error rendering the video portion of playback.". I have Arcsoft TMT installed and verified that I can open a file from the stream folder of a bluray in wmp and it will play fine. I've tried overlay/vmr9/evr all with the same issue and tried using the arcsoft decoder as well as the Microsoft. One question I had is what setting in the video options applies to bluray? Is that the same as DVD or one of the other video options? Any pointers on what to check next is greatly appreciated.

I'm seeing the same problem here... however, it only seems to apply to certain rips. I know some of them are VC-1, and that's a seperate issue, but I have a bunch of H264 encoded movies, that appear to have identically encoded video and audio streams (according to MediaInfo), some of them play, some of them produce the error above.

All of my rips (ripped in AnyDVD)are stripped down to main movie only (but not re-encoded) and audio is re-encoded to AC3 (so they play on the extenders) using ClownBD.

Avatar fails
Away We Go fails
500 Days Of Summer works
Crank High Voltage works

All play perfectly on the extenders. All of them play perfectly on Arcsoft TMT 3 Platinum.

I'm assuming that it's a codec problem, but I can't figure out what to try next!

Strange, I tried a few more blurays and found that while none of them will play, I get the video error on Fantastic Four 2 and an audio error on Star Trek and Spiderman 3. These are all full rips and all play fine on my HD200s. I downloaded graphedit and at first it didn't render the video properly but after reinstalling codecs I got it so graphedit would play the file without me manually specifying any codecs. Still getting the same error in sage though. I also tried installing the coreavc codec and the powerdvd trial to no avail. Any suggestions on where to go next?

I started messing with BluRay and DVD.iso files today. Not much luck either.

I was able to figure out that the m2ts file will not play even if I demux it to just the video and audio I want and also downgrade the HD-DTS audio to DTS. I can play this same file back in a mkv container without problems.

All the problem children will form a good graph and playback fine in Graph edit.

This change allowed me to play more BluRay m2ts files but I am still getting errors.

You should check the log to see what filters are being used. Just to confirm that the same graph is being built in Sage and Graphedit.
