UK Channel Logos Pack

Hope this is useful for a few people. In V7 goto 'Setup > Sagetv plugins > All available plugins > Images' and you should now be able to install a plugin that gives you the latest logos for all the UK's TV and radio channels.

Oh I see, I need to rename the channels to match the logo file names.

Or rename the logo file names.

Nice one and thank you !

I think what would be a good idea is to have a way to map a Channel Logo to a Channel in the Setup Video Source or via Channel Manager when you press Options when in the Program Guide.

Or have Sky, Virgin, Freeview, Digi Guide etc all use the same name for each channel. (and channel numbers)

I could easily enough zip them and email them to you (3MB) or make smaller zips and post them here as (the limit is 750KB per post), but I think we'd better wait and see what James suggests - this is his work after all.

If you look at post #175 here you will find a zip file which appears to contain all the logos on which this plugin is based, plus a few more .

cool thanks, it'll be nice to have a set that match, my existing ones I sourced individually several years ago and are all shapes.

Who calls their channel 5 star anyway?

THANK YOU jamesdisco
and
THANK YOU ghost5

My channel logos are almost complete appart from channel 5's sister station
5*

Every time I have wanted to match a logo image to a channel I have just renamed the logo image to the exact channel name. put it in the "channel logos" folder and sage has done the rest. However I cannot name a file 5* in windows xp as * is not seen as part of a valid filename.

Can anyone help? I figured a good work around might be to rename the channel from "5*" to "5 star" but I don't know how to do this.

Can anyone help?

Thanks

I presume you are using Over The Air EPG ie not XMLTV, if so I don't know.

If you used XMLTV this would be easy using Stephane's importer to change the call sign.

Yep, I'm using the over the air epg. I think I'd rather just have one blank logo rather than set up regular xmltv imports. Thanks for the suggestion though.

I may switch to xmltv if the freeview HD epg doesn't work.

If nothing turns up over the week I think I'll go to the official support and see if they can offer any ideas.

thanks

Don't hold your breath and get your xmltv toolkit out.

The freeview HD channels are encoded using the same tables as the FreeSat 7/8 day EPG.
As SageTV isn't signed up to be FreeView certified they don't have legal access to the tables to decode the Freeview EPG Data so it won't appear.
