I saw that audio track problem yesterday as well. One BD would only playback the Spanish track, even when English was chosen (actually the commentary track works as well). And yes this was DTS HD. I'm using the MPC Audio decoder (have been using this one for a long time without problems). MPC HC played the same BD without problems (with the same audio decoder).
So far it seems that BDMV playback is pretty much limited to h.246 with DD audio.

Naylia, uh. . .can you enlighten me as to how exactly?

I always thought I had to rip it first. . . are you saying that just with a disc in the drive, and anydvd running at the same time, i can just add that drive to sagetv and it will work on that pc??

Yes that works. You may need to force scanning the video library, if you had a dvd previously in the drive.

It works every bit as well as playing back a rip. With AnyDVDHD runnung, the drive is just a bunch of files/folders, so it's no different to sage than any other BD folder structure.

There is a quick workaround for the wrong audio track that has worked for every movie I tried so far (except for vc-1 stuff which wont play at all)
When the movie starts with the wrong track (usually #2), select the #1 track and then switch back to #2. This might be fixed in the next beta.

So I'm not using Virtual Clone drive rather than dameon tools since that's what the instructions say to do. . .

I cannot get 500 Days of Summer or Star Trek to play back when the iso files are mounted to a drive.

I then tried using just a ripped folder, and still no luck. I get the spinning circle of death for a while and then just a black screen.

Intrestingly, when running AnyDVD at the same time, the discs in the drive method works. . .

I'm using 7.0.12

I should also note, that selecting H.264 decoder does not matter, using either Microsoft or CoreAVC, I still get the same problem.

I'll try ripping a disc again one more time just to be sure. .

well i tried again with 500 days of summer, and even with anydvd on, the darn thing will not playback. I've tried all kinds of settings, but still to no avail. . . i suppose I'll just start re-encoding my blu-ray archives to an MKV or something, but ugh what a friggin' pain.

stupid windows. . . funny how on the extenders things just work. . .

So what is the preferred method, BDMV or ISO? Finally getting around to sucking in my Blu-ray disks now that I have 4TB of storage free.

I originally was ripping to BDMV. I see, in most cases, no reason to keep it bottled up in an .ISO container. Once I started ripping 3D blurays though, .ISO makes a LOT more sense. 3D BluRay uses some ISO filesystem tricks to save a LOT of space, which gets lost (that 45GB .ISO image becomes closer to 70GB when unpacked).

Of course, lately, I've been just ripping the main movie to .MKV.
