Going back to previous version before v7 beta was released

I made a copy of my entire SageTV folder before I updated to the v7 beta. Can I simply copy that folder back to revert to my old version? I'd like to try the update again to see if my HD-PVR problems go away. I had a small error when I updated that didn't seem to hurt anything...but now I wonder. I'm going to try it anyway and see...but figured I'd ask while things were copying. Damn that folder got big over the years!

In case anyone else is wondering this worked. I was able to identify my HD-PVR problem by reverting to the older version. It turned out to be a hardware issue, but I had no way of knowing for sure until I went back and got the same error. I'm back to v7 and all is working.

If you are currently on V7,

1 uninstall V7,
2 del Sagetv folder
3 install v6
4 copy back your v6 folder backup

Just curious, I would have reversed steps 3 and 4 - copy back the v6 folder and then attempt to reinstall. Wouldn't that allow SageTV to reinstall with all the old settings, tuners, history, etc? Am I missing something that makes your steps work better?
