i lost my hard drive and now that i've reinstalled and changed sone components, i'm having problems with version 2.0.20 that i didn't have with 2.0.19... i want to install .19 again to eliminate that extra variable in troubleshooting. my .exe was on the drive that died so can someone pleeeeeease send me version .19 for now???

well, it says it's version 2.0.19, but the file that starts downloading is 2.0.20 sending it through yousendit.com would rule if it's not online anywhere else. i can give my email in a pm if you want...

What problems are you having with .20 that you did not have with .19 ?

mostly lock ups and freezing... very often & pinning the cpu at 100% etc. i think only when sage is running and usually soon if not immediately after it starts up. the release notes indicate that not a whole lot was changed but somethin's not getting along w/ somethin. i did switch some hardware too bc i'm still nailing down exactly which orphaned parts to use but figured i'd rule the software change out first...

There are still a couple of bugs in .20 that I (and Frey) are aware of, but in general .20 fixed quite a few others that were in the .19 release.

You mentioned losing the hard drive and reinstalling everything... I assume you meant a fresh install of Windows there also.

Have you gotten all the Windows Updates?

Try uninstalling JAVA. When you install SageTV it should then install the correct version of JAVA it was designed to use.

If that don't help, for the most part, your problems sound more like problems with drivers than SageTV itself.

If you really still think you need .19 (no idea why you should), then PM me with your e-mail addy and I'll send it to you. Don't make much sense to install .19 to me though because you will most likely end up having to upgrade to .20 anyway later.

yep, it's now a fresh install of XP Home SP1 w/ all critical updates already... newest drivers, directx & everything else i could think of that might matter. i'll double check that i got everything tho. i should have some tinker-time this weekend i'll try the java thing & let ya know!

ok! i installed .19 (thx MLS) and it did the same thing. i thought "drivers" now too, so i downloaded em all again & switched soundcards since there aren't any decent ones for it. it's ancient & the drivers always mess w/ me. defragged (which i had forgotten to do w/ the fresh install) and BAM! working fine .20 too...

Ah, didn't I tell ya it was kind of pointless and you'd end up upgrading to .20 anyway
