Problematic Creative DVR Sync Issues

I have Creative DVR sync issues with 1.3.x and up. I have not used 1.2.8 enought yet to notice sync issues but it may be working. I don't hear too many people with the Hauppauge 250 having sync issues. I am fearfull that this problem will keep popping up due to difficulty with how the the video and audio must be muxed outside of the cards hardware. I am more than willing to buy a Hauppauge 250 if that is the case. Can anyone with the 250 comment on any issues they are having and on the experiences with the card and SageTV?

Thanks!

FYI - I've just found what should be the final fix for the Creative card (but I've said that before). Apparently my new algorithm didn't cover all of the places sync loss could occur. But my old algorithm covers those extra places. So now I've created a new combination algorithm that should work well. We'll have to see, I'm testing it now.

That sounds great! I don't mean to sound negative, I am most appreciative (and amazed) of all the effort you are putting into supporting this card. Let me know if you want someone to test it as well

As a software developer myself, though, I am just wondering when that point may come when you just have to move on to bigger and better issues - if this does not fix it

Thanks!

I am about upset that I purchased a DVCR. I read all the posts before I bought it on ebay for $75 and figured that the resolution was there. But it turns out that the card is just flakey. I went and got a PVR-250 and the only issues I've had are brightness and hue (defaults a little dark and a little to the red side).

I am very appreciative at the work these guys are doing to make the DVCR work and I hope they've got the answer 'cause now I would like to set it up as my 2nd tuner.

You can adjust these settings for the PVR-250 under Detailed Setup > Multimedia > Video Capture Settings (Advanced)
