Does anyone record Medium over ATSC on CBS?

I've got a fairly stable ATSC setup right now with an HVR-2250 and HVR-1600. Every channel brings in a nice clear HD picture.

But... Without fail, Medium, on Friday nights on CBS always has issues. And these issues are not the typical corruption you'd see with a failing signal. They only happen on that one program and only on the program itself - they don't happen on the commercials.

My recording is from WIVB-DT from the Buffalo area.

I'm curious if anyone else has seen any oddities with this program. Or perhaps any oddities with any other specific program.

I have had a problem similar to that with many atsc channels.
It's almost like screen format changes when transitioning to commercials and then back again are at the root of this problem.
I don't know much more than that though... sorry.

I record it using a Silicondust HDHR and haven't had any issues.

I've had issues in the past with Hauppague: slow tuning, would tune some QAM channels and not others, etc.

No problems at all with HDHomeruns.

Twistedmelon I am also in Buffalo and use a roof mounted full size antenna with a digital rotor so my signals are maxed. I use an HDHR to my sage server.

I have noticed an issue as well with that program, you didnt state exactly what happens to yours but mine is regular weird distortions in the video, still watchable but annoying. I dont know if you record CSI ( vegas ) from WIVB also but awhile ago I had similar issues with it, I havent had much viewing time in quite awhile so I'm backed up like a year on CSI so not sure if they are still there but these 2 shows from WIVB were the only ones I ever saw this on.

That's pretty much the issue I'm seeing as well. When I first saw it back last year, I thought it was a signal issue, however, everything else on CSI (as far as I could tell) records beautifully, including How I Met Your Mother, Amazing Race and Survivor.

Strangely enough, I didn't notice any issues with this week's episode of Medium.
