USB analog tuner

I need to add an USB analog tuner having hardware Mpeg2 compression to my server. My setup in now all-digital and I have no more free PCI or PCI-E slots (3 PCI slots with DVB-S2 cards, 1 PCI-E with an 8 port serial card, 1 PCI-E slot with a Raid controller, I PCI-E slot with the video card). An HD-PVR is also connected by USB.

Can anyone recommend a USB tuner that is *known* to be compatible ? Sometime ago I tried an Avermedia USB tuner, but Sage didn't like it.

Thanks

I had to buy a USB tuner a bit ago. I found this one that does it all:

http://www.hauppauge.com/site/produc...a_hvr1950.html

It works with Sage, it does hardware compression, it does both analog and digital turning. The only down side is that it has a single tuner, and its a bit expensive.

Hope that helps

Kent

I use an ATI USB 650HD

http://www.amazon.com/ATI-Wonder-650.../dp/B00138H420

Picked it up for real cheap a while ago i think 49.99, but it has been rock solid for tuning. over the past 7 - 8 months i have used it for analog capture, STB composite capture, and QAM capture.

Rock solid in all cases.

I saw that one while I was shopping around. It is not officially supported by Sage, and while apparently some have gotten it to work some haven't

It CAN still be had for $49 tho. Good deal if you can get it to work

Thanks a lot, guys; I'll try first the ATI; at worst it will go to my pile of computer hardware.
