Hauppauge 2250 and OTA / Qam listings

When using this card to record from either OTA or Qam, do either one of those delivery methods offer TV guide listings data? I seem to recall someone saying that there NO program data is transmitted via these delivery methods, but that seems silly.

thanks

If you are a Sage user in the USA, your guide data should be coming over the internet from Zap2it. If you are outside the US, you probably have to use one of the XMLTV packages (I'm not too familiar with how that works, since I am in the US).

Either way, It doesn't matter which card you have. Sage can get the data.

Now, if data is not available for your location through Zap2it or XMLTV, but you are using a digital tuner (OTA or QAM), the broadcaster might embed guide data in the broadcast. If it is there and Sage has no other guide data available, Sage will use it. This is typically only 1-2 days worth of data.

So, in that case, yes Sage should be able to get guide data from this card (if the broadcasters happen to transmit it).
