Default Video Renderer cause Sage Client to close/crash

Yesterday everything worked. Now when I try to play a recording as soon as I hit watch it crashes to desktop. I turned on debugging as below was the last thing that showed. I changed the video renderer to a different one and it worked. What could cause this to stop working all of a sudden.

NATIVE RenderVideo step 3
WIN32 FAILURE HR=0x800401f0 FILE=.\CPlayerData.cpp LINE=951

Why would you want to use the Default renderer? Depending on your system DXVA or EVR would be a better choice.

The other two renderers do not work. One gives me an error and the other freezes the computer after some time of use. This is an old temperamental computer.

What are your specs, system & OS? What decoder are you using?
