Choppy frame rates on secondary display

Hi,

Sage tv, up to date running in windows 7 64
Q6600 quad core 2.4
4gb ddr2 ram
p5K-c mobo
GTX 260 (core 196 I think...)

hauppauge HVR 1600

Renderer; EVR
sage decoders
DXVA enabled

displays; LG 37LB5D 1080P 60hz (secondary) and Samsung P2350 primary, also 1080P 60hz

When I watch sage TV programs on the 37LB5D video appears very choppy almost stroboscopic at times. If at that moment I put the program in window mode and drag it to the P2350 and full screen it, problem goes away.

I thought the TV (37lb5d) was the problem, it's an "old" set by today's standards anyway, but Fraps confirms otherwise;

Fraps is a small program that gives you a visual framerate "gauge" . On the P2350 it stays right at 60fps exactly where it should be, while on the TV it keeps bouncing around the 30's and 40"s sometimes peaking at 60 when the displayed image is very still. (ex, while camera is still on a static subject) slow frame rates definitely seem related to complexity of image being displayed. (but it happens on all feeds from 480I to 1080I)

again, both set at same resolution (1920x1080) refresh rate 60hz, both connected to the same graphics card in the same system wathing the same show, but the SOFTWARE frame rate dips on the secondary display while the primary display is fine.

Furthermore, if I set the TV as the primary display, the frame rate is normal on both displays!

So... something is preventing me from getting optimal playback on my TV as secondary display and it's not my hardware... It's not windows7 or my graphics card drivers either as both of these are up to date and able to playback 1080P content from other sources at rock solid framerates (with enough left over to do some pretty decent computing on the primary display, with all it's icons and menus available for use without interfering with tv operation, which is why I want my P2350 as primary and 37lb5d as secondary at all times...)

Anyone else having these issues?

Try disabling 3D acceleration in SageTV's settings.
