SageTV Hangs on Start
Displays "DirectShow WDM Capture Manager Initializing" and just hangs.

This started after my WinXP installation BSOD.

I uninstalled SageTV, removed the source directory and rebooted.

Same result.

How can I fix this?

Not an MCE box - just pure WinXP pro.

Worked fine before the BSOD.

The only way I could fix it was with a total SageTV re-install (go figure).

Are you using a USBUIRT on the server? If yes, it has a bug that Sage tech support confirmed causes Sage to hang on startup. When I stopped using it to control the server the problem stopped. To clarify, this occurs when you try to run the SageTV client on the server and use the USBUIRT to control the PC using a remote control. I now only use HD200's to view Sage. When I need to configure the server I just use a keyboard/mouse and not the USBUIRT. I still use the USBUIRT to send IR signals to my DISH boxes with no problems.

No remote on the server at all. Like you I use a keyboard and mouse.
It is physically not even in the same room as the clients (small form factor PCs)
