Best way to upgrade verison in WHS
I currently have 6.5.9 in add ons in my WHS. To go to a newer verision [6.6.2] what would be the best way? Can I just click on install in on the addin tab, or do I have to uninstall the older version first? I have Sage MC also. I plan on installing the latest verison of that also. Any advice greatly apprecated.

You should uninstall the old version first. Last time I tried that I ended up with two SageTV tabs in the WHS console If I remember correctly. All your settings and history will stay, no special steps needed.

I typically do the following:
This generally allows me to do a seamless upgrade without fighting to reconfigure and install all my plugins again. If anything happens you also have a backup so you can recover. |

Definitely manually stop the SageTV service before doing anything. I've found that the WHS console won't remove the plugin properly if you try to delete the plugin while the service is running. It takes manually deleting the plugin registry setting to fix the problem (thereby allowing you to reinstall the SageTV plugin). If you stop the service manually, then the WHS console does properly remove the SageTV plugin and allows you to reinstall it without editing the registry settings.

Thanks, went like a dream. Next I need to tackle upgrading SageMC. I will post in the sageMC thread.

You should just be able to do the same steps that I just laid out except instead of install SageTV change that to extract SageMC into the Sage directory...
