Dish 211k with Hauppauge 1600, Aspect Ratio Problem
Helping out with HD upgrade.
Upgrading to HD using Dish 211k Receivers. (Will eventually goto HD-PVR) Dish 211K receiver has HDMI out to TV and sVideo out to Hauppauge 1600. This setup will tune output from the STB and the Blaster will change channels. Problem: Aspect Ratio The feed to the TV is fine but the output sent to the 1600 seems to be forced to 4x3. The Dish 211K seems to put black bars on the top and bottom so even if I stretch to 16x9 it will seem squished. I tried a number of setting in the Dish 211K setup but can't find something that will output without the bars. Some shows and the Menu will fill the screen completely if set to 16x9 in Sage but true HD content seems to always have the bars. Anyone using the 211k with Analog card and a similar problem?
