falchulk and kny3twalker: I got OSD ghosting in B15, (with overlay color keying/transparent overlay disabled) but it was fixed in RC1.
I dont use video menus=background because it makes menus unreadable... Falchulk: I did get stuttering when PowerDVD's HW accelleration was disabled. My only guess is that redrawing menus takes a lot of CPU (more when 3d accelleration is disabled) that there is not enough CPU to do video decoding, causing frame drops. Enabling HW decoding and 3d accelleration reduces the load enough to allow normal decoding... One other thought... I am in PAL-land, so although my video is 20% bigger (576 lines), my frame rate is 17% lower (25fps)... maybe that is just enough to cause behaviour differences?

i tried out the free gotTV plugin for one of my buddies last night and while i'm not sure at this point of stability and i'm certainly no fan of xmltv i have to say that it's vmr9 performance was very good and it provided a nice detailed picture.
for a free ap tony has done a very good job. one of the nice features it has is the ease of which ffdshow can be inserted in the graph and adjusted real time. the other good thing is that it integrates very well with myHTPC and pretty darn well with xlobby. that's also why i really can't wait for studio to be released at this point and i hope that it's going to be everything and maybe more than i'm hoping! |
