SageTVService.exe - Event ID 7031

I'm trying to fix a SageTV installation at one of my best friends home. SageTVService.exe is dying once a day with Event ID 7031 (The SageTV service terminated unexpectedly. It has done this 1 time(s). The following corrective action will be taken in 60000 milliseconds: Restart the service.). Did anybody experienced a similar problem ? How was it fixed ?

Do you have debug logging enabled (under Detailed Setup > Advanced)? What do the logs show the service doing just before it crashes?

You might also check to make sure you're running an up-to-date version of Java.

I've recently started having this problem, I think since I switched to Windows 7 about a month or so ago. Today, it happened twice. Prior to today, it happened on the 7th, then on the 3rd, then several times last month. I thought it was related to a failing hard drive, but I removed it and shipped it off to Seagate for replacement last week.

I've just upgraded my Java, so we'll see if the issue continues.
