5. I don't use the analog tuners (only the composite inputs), but those that do say the analog tuners are better on the 2250 vs the 500

Disadvantages:
1. If you have an older server you wouldn't be able to use it since it is PCIE?
Thanks for the pros and cons. This does help me.

Hi there crarbo1. I just recently setup a very similar server myself and had quite a headache trying to solve the same problem you came across. There is a post on the SageTV forums somewhere (my google-fu is failing me right now ) that mentions (as already stated in this forum) that PAE seems to be the cause of the driver malfunction. You really are left with only a few options from that point:

1) remove the 2250
2) remove RAM until you are under 4 GB
3) Disable PAE in WHS

I chose the 3rd option. This resulted in WHS only seeing 2.75 GB of RAM, but I guess that's a trade-off I'm willing to make because I really do like what the 2250 gives me.

Check out the following MS KB article for how to disable PAE in Windows. Worked like a charm for me.
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/900524

Just for fun I contacted Hauppauge support to see if they were aware of the problem. Unfortunately they do not support their drivers running under any of the Windows Server products and therefore they seem to be unwilling to care much.

Thanks for the info. It may come in handy. However, I thought that from the above posts that the 2250 would work with WHS and 4GB of RAM. I guess I will see and if it doesn't, then I now know my options.
Thanks,
Chuck
