Software to rotate video

Anyone know of any software capable of rotating video? Hopefully, free I have a bunch of videos via my camera that make you turn your head to the side to see them. I need an easy way to rotate them…

Yuck, it torched the video quality of the video when it rotated it. I'd like a program not to re-encode my files if possible... Or, at least give me the ability to choose a profile. So far as I can tell that software doesn't allow any changes to the output file, just the ability to rotate.

The video has to be re-encoded if you want to rotate it. The only way it will not have to be re-encoded is if you can find a player that allows you to rotate the video as it is being played.

For more information then you ever wanted to know about encoders, head over to the doom9 forums.

I figured as much. At the same time, that program I demoed before didn’t allow any changes to the output file that was being encoded. The quality was really different/bad than my original file. That software was easy to use but didn’t have any options to work with aside from basic rotation.
I have since found a program that does a really nice job of converting my files and rotating them. AVS Video Converter.

Glad you found something that works. Encoders have come a LONG way in the past 5 years and there are some amazingly smart people working on improving them all the time.
