Strange Things Going on

Hello everyone i have been testing several media center options over the past months and I believe that sage is the one , however i have a few problems

1st on the mediaserver were the tv tuner is everything works fine and you will be watching tv and it will just go all scrambled like the old encrypted tv channles were

2nd I have a hard wired media client in the bedroom with the sage software on it and it works great with channels that are using the tunner for regular cable, but when i put it on the ota hd channels it gets choppy and the guied will not responde

If it makes a diffrence i was testing beyond tv and it worked fine both hd and sd, however i like sage alot better

Media server
2gb ram
core 2 duo processor
800gb strage
hauppauge dual tv tuner pci express
windows 7

media center client
amd athlon 1.8ghz
2 gb ram
hard wire
windows vista

anyone have any ideas??

1. Poor signal strength/quality. Check to see how many splits you have before your tuner card and try to reduce if possible.

2. What video card is in your client machine? Sounds like you don't have the horsepower in your client computer in the bedroom.

If you want your sage system to be rock-solid, use your sever as a headless unit, and put HD200 extenders everwhere you want to watch stuff. Costs more, but you'll love it.

The client's video card is probably too weak for HD.
