Strange Things Going on
Hello everyone i have been testing several media center options over the past months and I believe that sage is the one , however i have a few problems
1st on the mediaserver were the tv tuner is everything works fine and you will be watching tv and it will just go all scrambled like the old encrypted tv channles were 2nd I have a hard wired media client in the bedroom with the sage software on it and it works great with channels that are using the tunner for regular cable, but when i put it on the ota hd channels it gets choppy and the guied will not responde If it makes a diffrence i was testing beyond tv and it worked fine both hd and sd, however i like sage alot better Media server 2gb ram core 2 duo processor 800gb strage hauppauge dual tv tuner pci express windows 7 media center client amd athlon 1.8ghz 2 gb ram hard wire windows vista anyone have any ideas?? |

1. Poor signal strength/quality. Check to see how many splits you have before your tuner card and try to reduce if possible.
2. What video card is in your client machine? Sounds like you don't have the horsepower in your client computer in the bedroom.

If you want your sage system to be rock-solid, use your sever as a headless unit, and put HD200 extenders everwhere you want to watch stuff. Costs more, but you'll love it.

The client's video card is probably too weak for HD.
