Problems with SkipFwd in a Sage recording

I taped a show yesterday that is showing some weirdness. When I try to use the SkipFwd (or SkipFwd2) functionality it doesn't work properly. The SkipFwd2 is supposed to go forward 2.5 minutes but it only goes forward a lesser amount and it seems to think it has hit the end of the file at about 10 minutes even though it is a 1h 45m recording. Immediately after this show another show was recorded but it is 100% fine.

Both files are SD and were recorded in MPEG-2 format using a PVR-150 tuner.

Any idea why I am having this problem? Is there a problem with the indexing in the MPEG-2 file? Should I run it through VRD to try to repair the file?

I have seen this occasionally in the past but not very often - maybe in 1% (or less) of my recordings.

There's no downside to trying, so long as you don't overwrite the original.

There's a registry fix for older Hauppauge analog tuners that may help with timeline errors. It's been posted several times, but I don't have the link off the top of my head.
