Did you try the "Recovery Procedure via Server PC"?

No i don't have a server running......i only use it in standalone.
Although I have a buddy that is running SageTV server. Which this box used to be hooked up to his system about a month ago. Will that possibly work? |

Plummer, you can install the SageTV Media Center Trial Software and do the recovery with any computer. It doesn't need to be a server. The recovery works, but it takes a LONG time, and it looks like it doesn't do anything... (I had to do a recovery on my HD200, and it looked a lot like nothing was happening, but eventually it came up...)

FWIW (and sorta OT) but you can just do the firmware update directly from the HD200. You don't need to download it manually.

Oh, and the USB update method mentioned in the first post can be useful if the HD200 isn't connected directly to the internet... but, yes, if it has an internet connection, just do the update from within the UI. - Andy

Well yeah, right, I wasn't very clear, I meant when everything is working right, you can just do the firmware update from the box, no need for USB drives or manual downloading
