Questions on using Firewire and Clear QAM tuners for a given recording?

All,

I just got a clear QAM tuner (Hauppauge 1250) to go along with my 2 Firewire/STB tuners. I have two related questions

1) Can I define which tuner to use when I record a show that is tunable by both clear QAM and Firewire tuners?

2) Can I record the same show on multiple tuners? In this case, I want to make sure that I record the BCS national championship game. As much as I like my setup, recordings are not 100% guaranteed. Every once in awhile, I don't get a firewire recording and the clear QAM tuner is new. So, I would like to record the game on BOTH the clear QAM and one of the Firewire tuners.

Thanks!
