Library import no longer working
I've had a setup working properly for months but lately I have had nothing but problems with Sagetv. I won't go into all the problems I have been having, but the latest problem is that I cannot get sagetv to import my movie library anymore. Tonight when I tried to watch a movie from my library I noticed that all my custom group assignments were gone and everything was listed as Unassigned.
I then switched to folder view, selected a movie from the list, and saw that it listed the size as 0.00 GB. I tried some others and they were all the same. I figured something bad happened to my library files in sagetv and that I'll just remove and readd them. I removed the library folder and added the folder back. The complete scan returned in less than a second and it found no movies or videos of any kind. I have roughly 1500-2000 videos in my library that it should have found. I then thought it was having trouble with the network paths somehow, so I mounted the drive in windows explorer to Z:. I then added the drive using the browse option into sagetv. It saw the drive and could successfully explore the subdirectories. After I added it, the import again came back in less than a second and said it was completed, but didn't display a single movie. The debug log entry was useless: Sun 1/3 2:32:58.408 [LibraryImporter@183e712] Starting to scan lib import root: Z:\ Sun 1/3 2:32:58.456 [LibraryImporter@183e712] Seeker has finished the library import scan. Any additional log options that I can turn on to hopefully find the cause of this sudden problem? Or does anyone see anything that I am doing wrong here? |

Do you run Sage as a service? If so, (a) do not use mapped drive letters (services can't access those), and (b) make sure the service logs in as a valid user with network permissions (not as LocalSystem). It sounds like you may have had this set up properly at one time, but at some point the service login got reset to default.

I hear you. Try removing the folder from the video import folder list. Run a rescan. Then add the folder to the list. You may have to run BMT to fix some the metadata. Best of luck.
