Unhappy Library Import Directories not working properly

I store my video files (both DVD and MPEG) in external USB hard drives hooked to my HTPC. While the basic functions of SageTV are working well, I have run across a problem when trying to view and play my collection of DVD and MPEG files. SageTV does NOT list all the directories under the root directory I specify (under 'Detailed Setup/Imported Directory') for each of my external drives. The directory listing I see when I try to view (under 'Media Library and DVD') is partial..and seems to be a mix of sub-directories - some from each drive.

Is there any limitation of SageTV working with external USB drives?

I tried 'Refresh Media Library' several times. No go.

Thanks for any pointers.

No, but Sage doesn't really let you browse directories, it scans and imports media it recognizes and then uses their paths to organize/display them. So if you have directories with stuff that isn't recognized it won't display them.

Thanks stanger89 for the reply. I did find my problem. The DVD files have to be in a directory with the name VIDEO_TS. After I renamed the directories where the DVD files were accordingly, SageTV displayed them all.

The following organization of DVD files worked:
<drive letter>:<DVD title>/VIDEO_TS/<store DVD files here>

Hopefully, this is useful information for other newbees like me!
