running a windows sever and a mac client

So I am trying to help my dad. get setup and he will be running a windows machine as the server and will have 1 hd 200 and in his office he run's a couple of mac's. I know this should work but will sagetv client work on a mac and be able access a windows sagetv server?

Yes, there should be no problem here. Just make sure he purchases the SageTV Media Center software for Windows, and the SageTV Client software for Mac.

Yep doing it myself. However, I am using placeshifter on my Mac. With that said, I do believe there are/were some issues with placeshifter on Snow Leopard. Since I haven't upgraded yet it hasn't been an issue for me. I THINK all the other software packs are Snow Leopard compatible, but I haven't verified recently.
