How do i change audio in HD200?

So i have some MKV files that play fine, but the seem to default to the DTS audio stream when playing. There is an AC3 audio stream in as well, and i would lke to use this, as i have the extenders plugged directly into tvs that cannot decode dts. The AC3 should pass through and downmix to 2 channel as videos that only have ac3 play audio/video just fine.

Thanks for any help?

I use SageMC with my HD200 but you should be able to just hit Options and then Audio Language. It will then allow you to choose between all the streams that are in the list.

My guess is it should be similar with the Default STV but if not, someone may have to help with that.

there is no option for audio language when i press options.
I loaded the default stv and tried the options button as well, and there is no option for audio language in that either?

Weird. Is that something i need to turn on in the menu settings or something?

Hmm, I switched over to the Default and it did give me the option. Now with videos that have only a DTS or an AC3 track, it won't give the option. It has to have multiple streams for it to give the Audio Language selection. You're sure it does have multiple streams? You may check a few videos just to be certain. I don't think you need to turn anything on.

yeah, certain they have multiple streams. I can play them in windows media player classic, and i can toggle between streams in the navigate/audiolanguages dropdown, and in their i can choose DTS as an option or AC3 as the other.

keep in mind, these are not dvds with a full menu/navigation rip. these are dvds that have been compressed and stripped of all the junk, i simply kept the best audio streams from them.

Hmm, that is weird. I do rip my blurays into a .m2ts file and strip out any extra junk so I take a similar route that you do. This is a random suggestion but there is an Audio button on the actual HD200 remote. You may try hitting that and seeing if you have any luck. I have only used tsMuxer and eac3to to do all of my video work. Any other software you may have used might have something to do with it. Like I said though, I'm not 100% sure.

EDIT: I did find this post. There might be an issue with MKVs. A few users were still reporting a little bit of trouble. I don't know if this has anything to do with the HD200 though.

thanks for helping though!

No problem. Depending on what program you use to do all of your work, you may be able to re-order them so it defaults to the AC3 track. That may help...
