Playing HD PVR files with Media Player
For HD PVR recordings made in the .ts format, I have had limited success playing them with Windows Media Player. Does anyone have any codec suggestions for doing this? At the moment, I am using the Vista Codec pack but am having some problems with audio sync.
VideoLAN is fine for audio sync, but video playback is nowhere near as good as Media Player, so If I can get the audio synced, then it would be great to have a stash of HD quality files on the laptop

Have you installed the Total Media software that came with the HD-PVR on the laptop? I suspect that would load in the correct codex. Then it is just a matter of getting WMP to use those codex.
