Duplicate Import entries

I've searched the forums for this, and I've seen people with similar issues, but no one with a solution that works for me.

I have a real simple setup. Fresh install of SageTV on a Windows machine, with two UNC paths (different paths).

\\server1\directory1
\\server2\directory2

Directory1 is all music/mp's, no duplicate files
Directory2 is all movies/videos, no duplicate files

I added both folders to my import list, and let it do its thing.

End result: Movies show single import, all music shows duplicate, that is, every album/band/song shows up twice in the list/media center, and when I play an album it plays every song twice, because they are listed twice.

I wiped it all out, started over, got the same results, duplicate entries for the music.

Any idea what causes this, and better yet, how to fix it? All of the media are on remote servers, none of them are on the local disk, and all are mounted as \\ UNC mounts. It's pretty basic.

I tried just doing a single UNC mount, and still the same problem, duplicate music for every folder, every item shows up twice.

If you select a song & then choose View Song Detail, is there anything different about the paths for two of the same songs?

Yes!

And you can now delete this post, as I found the issue, and it's not your software. Wish I had known about the file detail button sooner, could have saved me a lot of time.

I had a symbolic link back to my parent folder in a sub folder, that was used for an old media extender... thus it was finding the same file twice, because in SageTV's eyes it was there twice in different paths.
