Anyone install PowerPack 3 on WHS?

I seem to be having issues after just installing power pack 3 for WHS. Anyone else have problems.

I haven't updated to the release but I ran the beta since it came out. No issues. Worked well with the Windows 7 PCs also. Woke them, backed them up and put them back to sleep. What type of issues? You 'll need to uninstall and reinstall all the connector software on your PCs. Until then you may have issues with remote desktop to the server. Update thru the software share or the WHS local url.

I installed the release as soon as I could (it showed up on Windows Update around 12pm my local time) and I haven't had any issues. I'm really impressed with how well WHS runs.

Turns out it wasn't the power pack. I have another HD-200 and tried playback there, no problems, so I dowloaded the latest beta firmware on the one I was having issues on. After flashing, problem solved. I am guessing something got corrupted on the HD-200. Glad it wasn't a hardware issue.

I just looked at my WHS and saw that the power pack 3 just installed today. No problems so far and hopefully not. Any major changes?? or just more compatible with Win 7?

I think the most new features have to deal with Windows7 (compatible with the home group idea, actually backs up the Windows 7 machine, etc). There may be a couple of minor tweaks outside of that, but nothing major as far as I've read.

I've been running it since it was released a couple days ago and it seems to work fine. I just got a new Windows7 laptop, so the timing couldn't be better for me.

In addition to the Windows 7 compatibility, they fixed what I consider was a major bug. WHS would not back up any directory or files named "temp". For example, some people have a temp directory on their C: drive. Other people have a temp directory they use when working that is on the desktop or in "My Documents". There is also a windows\temp directory. PP3 fixes this issue and now backs these up as well.

Other than that, just some windows media center enhancements that are not relevant for us Sagers.

Good to know.

PP3 still working like a champ for me. Seems like the beta team really did well.
