Mouse frozen whenever SageTV is opened

I've got a strange situation with my mouse and Sage that I'd like some help with. I'm using a logitech usb wireless mouse and kb (model Y-RK56)that I've owned for a long time. I've also used it with Sage for years. The mouse had begun freezing up intermittently, where the buttons would not operate and the pointer could not be moved around the screen. The freezeups became more frequent and longer lasting, eventually I recognized that the problems occurred when Sage was running. Now the mouse is completely frozen when Sage is started. The keyboard still works. I've checked the logitech site for driver updates, there are none. The mouse/kb are supposed to operate using generic USB drivers. Tonight I downloaded the latest version of Sage (6.6) and installed it over my old version (6.0). Upon starting Sage the mouse completely froze. Obviously there's an incompatibility, but it wasn't here before and came on gradually, which seems strange. Are there any suggestions for how to proceed? Does replacing the mouse/kb seem likely to fix the problem? They work fine with all other programs. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks.
