Issue runnig SageTV in Service Mode

I built a machine to run sagetv only. It is running Windows 7 and has no anti virus and the power save settings are turned off. I'm running sagetv in service mode with one HD200 connected through a netgear gige switch. I typically leave the HD200 on in the menu screen when not in use. Sometimes when I leave it for a long period of time, the HD200 is turned off and the service is off. Nothing else looks out of place. I do have the picture screen saver which pulls the pictures off a different machine (hpmediasmart homeserver). I've been running with the recovery swith to off, I didn't see why I should need that unless there was a problem. Will turning the recovery switch to "ON" help this situation, or should I be looking for something else?
Thanks

If pictures are on another machine in the network you need to setup Sagetv Service with a user ID and password that is on the mediasmart homeserver. Running the server as localsystem does not have permission to other machines on the network. Anytime the SageTV server isn't working or the service isn't active the hd200 will shutoff. (there is no SageTV service to connect to.) I'm pretty sure fixing the one issue will also fix the other.

I'm having some service mode issues as well with Win 7. Debugging gets under way tonight.

Last night I had 4 recordings at 8PM and was watching one on the HD200 which turned off about 2 minutes into the recording. After several HD200 restarts and halts I made the journey to my server to see what was going on. All 4 recordings were broken into about 6 pieces each. I stopped the service on the server (had recovered again) and ran SageTV from the desktop icon. Rest of evenings ecordings went OK with no more HD200 halts.

I just installed Jave 6u17 so the issue may be there(??). Had been running for a week without issue before the update. But last night was also my heaviest recording schedule to date w this system.

I do have a user ID and password assigned and I see everything fine. I just can't figure out what's turning the service off.

I rolled my java back to 6u15 and set 4 simultaneous hidef recordings up. Skipped around watching them on the HD200 (as they were recording) without a service failure/restart. Too soon to tell, but we'll see how the rest of the night goes.

I suggest you enable SageTV Debug Log and submit to tech support.

I've been running it in Win 7 as a service on the default java 1.6.010 for quite a while without any issues doing 4 simultaneous recordings, playing back previous video and copying video files all at the same time.

I recall having problems after upgrading java long ago (sage version 2 or 4) and so I don't do it anymore until I've run it in a test setup for a while.

Ditto. 6u17=many tuner (BDA DVB-T) restarts. 6u15=0. 3 days so far.
