Hauppauge HVR-4000

I have Sage 6.4 on a XP machine using
Hauppauge HVR-4000
DVB-S2, DVB-S and DVB-T

Hauppauge HVR-900
analog

Both of these work very well the HD tv on the HVR-4000 is rock steady, the only problem is that Sage sees the HVR-4000 as three seperate tuners but it is a hybrid which can only use one at a time. If I try to record two channels on say the DVB-T at the same time then sage gives a conflict but if I try to record two channels one on DVB-T and one on DVB-S then Sage throws a tuner/recorder error.

Use the latest version of SageTV instead of v6.4.

A rework of the HVR-4000 support to correctly handle the card as a hybrid rather than multiple tuners is on the SageTV things to do list.

It has been a while coming though.

HVR-4000

Thanks for the update John, I guess we will have to wait until Sage has been updated to handle hybrids correctly. With all the Hauppauge hybrid cards that must be out there I would have thought that this would be an important fix. It certainly reduces some of the functionality of Sage.

Anything happened yet about the hybrid-tuner support for the HVR 4000?
