Well we have this utility that will do a scan and sort into LCN order (ie the CH:x in the first column):-

So does Digiguide give LCN information?

edit: In my xml file (from dg2xml) I can see <channel id="x" id2="x"> where channel id appears to be the LCN

You can give whatever number you like to the individual channels. The default numbers will depend on what you choose as your Provider e.g. Freesat of Sky etc

I'm now well on the way.

I have a spread sheet that has a complete list of all channels that I can receive on the DVB-S card (serched several times during the day and added together). I laso have a complete Sky channel name/number list and I have an excel macro that maps the two tables together so now I have a Sky channel number for all of the channels in my frq file, apart from the chans that aren't on Sky.

Using the sky chan numbers, I can now map frq chans to epg. I'll do a bit more cleaning up this weekend and then I publish frq and xml files so we can import epg from digiguide and everywhere to sage.

Marvellous. It looks like you are the obsessive volunteer that I called for in this posting over 9 months ago:-) http://forums.sagetv.com/forums/show...6&postcount=28
