DVDs suddenly not recognized as DVDs

For some reason my SageTV started to see some of my DVDs as regular "Videos". When I try to play the movie as a video I get a message telling me that the file no longer exists even though it is just fine on the NAS. I tried removing my library folder and re-adding it, but then only like 17 of 83 DVDs were recognized properly! I even went back to the latest official release instead of the latest beta but that did not fix anything.

Anyone have any ideas as to what I could do to fix this? I really love this machine when it works, but it seems to be very bug ridden and needs a lot of babying to get it to work properly. I'm a patient guy when it comes to stuff like this but I am almost at the point of regretting this purchase .

What is the format of the DVD's like? Did you leave them in the original VOB's and DVD folder structure?

This is precisely what happened to me with the 10/16 BETA.

After rolling back to the official release version, go to the advanced settings. From there, refresh the import directories. This won't show the correction immediately. Then, reboot (unplug & replug). It should be back to normal at this point.

By the way, I suspect this has something to do with the new security capabilities by import folder. This result is VERY similar to setting up the HD200 for the first time, when the password is not set up correctly. You can see the video folders, but the player can't find the video during playback.

It has nothing to do with the NAS.

Yeah, they are ripped to VOBs with the standard DVD folder structure.

Ok, so I am not alone in this . I finally got everything working again after some trial and error. I wanted to reorganize my DVD folders anyway so I organized them in a new folder and deleted the old import folder. After creating the new import folder everything is working again. I think for now I am going to avoid the beta releases.
