Multiple RDP connections,

I was just sent this from a freind.

It appears that there is a way to Remote Desktop into your server without affecting video. It enables multiple, up to 3, connections into your system.
I have not tried it yet, but plan to if I get a chance tonight when I get home.

Bear in mind that this solution requires you to replace a Windows system DLL with a DLL from an unknown source. Basically you're trusting that the guy hosting this DLL is honest and not trying to plant a Trojan on your system. If you're comfortable with that, fine. I'm not.

Somewhere on the internets there is an installable version of that dll. I put it in my cocktail MAME cabinet years ago and it works terrific.

Simply put, you are replacing the terminal services dll on your xp box (which only allows one connection) with one from windows server (which allows up to 3 including the console).

(I'll see if I can dig up the installable version...)

I did the file replacement stuff last night. Today, I logged in to my machine from work. When I got home, my PC was kicked back to the login screen.
So either it didn't work for me or I'm misunderstanding what this does. I thought I could log in and the PC not kick out whoever is on it.

Did you log on remotely with a different user? If you used the same user that was logged on locally, you basically just took over the same session. So when you closed the remote session, the local one was sent back to the login screen.

Same user can't be logged on twice to the same machine.
