HDPVR - No Sound

HDPVR was working OK ( though having IR problems) when I brought it up and there's no sound. Sometimes when I change channel, I hear 1/8 of a second of sound, then it goes dead. And Ideas?

More information please. What firmware version are you using? What SageTV Version? What method of playback are you using (client, extender, etc,)?

Thanks,

Firmware? I didn't know there were firmware upgrades for the HDPVR. I have the latest driver downloaded and installed. But where do I get firmware updates? I am running the latest SageTV in trial mode. Will probably buy the upgrade from 5. My system is a core2 duo with Asus MoBo with Intel chipset. I'm using the onboard sound, net, USB2 etc.

Actually the sound came back since this post. But I'm haveing other issues like lockup - not just the SageTV. When I lose the feed from my Dish Network box, the SageTV freaks out, puts up a blue screen and here comes that damned windows spinning disk. It seems like they could make the HDPVR so it doesn't take down the whole system every time the video feed craps out. I'm also having no end to problems getting the IR blaster to work.

Sorry, I mis-spoke. I meant driver version. But it sounds like you got it up and working.

The driver will also update the firmware on the HD-PVR.

Sometimes for no reason te volume slider on the Sage Interface goes back to the left and tha is low or no volume. Have had that happen more than once and spent hour trying to find out why I had no or low volume..
