This is a good request but it's not going to make it into version 2.x due to the amount of effort it would take. Changes to version 2.x are being limited to bug fixes, minor/easy to implement enhancements (e.g. sort by original airing date), or support for core Sage enhancements such as system messages (depending on user demand and development effort). Hopefully by limiting 2.x work, someday I'll be able to start work on version 3.

Since nothing big is making into to v2, can I ask for something small?
I use the webserver to create podcast feeds that I import into iTunes and transfer to my ipod. The only downside to the feed the webserver creates is that it always starts with "Recordings matching " and iTunes is too stupid to let me rename the podcast feed to something useful since it cuts off the name right at the character that would start to differentiate the name. So all my pod casts are named Recordings matching ". It would be great if the xml feed could drop the recordings matching part. Thanks Greg |

For example, if I do a search on "Family Guy" it will display all of the recordings. I can then put the check boxes next to each but the only thing you can do with the check box is "Set Don't Like, Set Watched, Clear Don't Like, Clear Watched". If record could be an additional action, that would really be great. Thanks again for all the hard work. -Peter |

When I run this package I get text saying "Resolved Conflict Icon" where the actual Icon should be.
This does not effect any other icons in the webserver. Am I alone?

That used to be an issue if your server is Linux because the filename is case-sensitive. That was fixed a while back though. Could you take a look at the URL for the image within the web page's source?

I have the same problem but the text says "Unresolved Conflict" but if you hover over the link the tool-tip says "Resolved Conflict". The link to the gif file is
h++p://server:8081/sage/resolvedconflicticon.gif I feel like it's just missing that .gif but I'm not sure where to look to replaced the file. Miller

Thanks for the info. It looks like there are still some inconsistencies in the filenames and tooltips. I'll get those cleaned up.

Having a Strange problem where I can no longer view the Recordings list in XML. I am working on an app that grabs that XML. 2 days ago, it was working, today it is not. The Server returns an error 500. I cannot pull it up via any web browser either. (The normal HTML Recordings page works fine, and other XML's seem to work, such as the Upcoming Recordings). Anyone else seen this? I shut down the service, removed, and reinstalled the war and context files, but no improvement.
EDIT: That was quick. I found the problem. There was a blank recording in my database (showing up just as Unknown... must have been a crash or something in the last day or so), and i appeared to be choking on it. Guess there needs to be some error checking in the XML creation to exclude null/blank records.

Well I'm glad it's working again. I don't suppose you have the Sage logs from that? A stack trace would really help track down the bug in the code so it can be fixed to "exclude null/blank records."

Yeah, i realized I should have turned on debugging after I had deleted the file.. but where's the fun in that? I'll have to see if it can be recreated.

It's in the latest snapshot. Go to the webserver/snapshot folder to download it and try it out.

I'm using the latest snapshot of the jetty version. Everything works great. Except, this time, I tried to do something I've never done before... click on the "Watch (Streamed)" button, then select "Play in Web-player.
I currently have the latest VLC (1.0.5) with respective mozilla firefox plugin installed. However, instead of getting video, I get the black flash media player window like its aboutt start, but just says, "Waiting for video". Is this feature supported in the jetty version? Maybe I'm missing a very obvious step in configuring the webserver for streaming? Any help to resolve my issue would greatly be appreciated. Thanks! Here's a picture:

I don't officially support the web player under either TJWS or Jetty. I've had nothing but trouble with VLC, making it difficult for me to support anybody else Having said that, if someone can trace down a bug to something specific that won't require a lot of time I'll fix it. I wish I had better news but for now that's the situation.
