help, im using xp, sagetv 6.6 for xp, hdhomerun and sage will not get any channels.... just a black screen when i try to watch live tv.
When I select a program from the program guide it says,error-10 no encoders can tune the station. My hdhr works with its software and vlc, so I know the hdhr does work.... I have tried to remove the video sources many times! im just tring to watch local over the air HD digital stations from chicago & Milwaukee video source setup says 127.0.0.1:6970 and 127.0.0.1:6971 my hdhr is on 192.168.1.145 why wont sage find it ? For OTA Sage needs to do its own scan. Did you scan in Sage?

The 192.168.1.145 is the IP address I would expect for the HDHR.

Make sure the HDHR is plugged into a netwrok switch or use a cross over cable if it is plugged into the server.

I see 127.0.0.1:6970 Digital Tuner when I select HDHomerun in the video source setup.
My hdhomerun works perfectly on the same pc using its own quick tv software, so I know it is working, its just the sagetv software that seems to be messed up. It used to work on this same pc, when I had a lower version of the sage tv software on it a long time ago... I almost want to uninstall and reinstall it but I dont think I have the Liscense info anymore.. |

Problem Fixed
OK, I fixed the problem on my own. I removed sagetv with add/remove sw and deleted the sagetv dir, and re-installed. Problem is fixed, it had to do with sage was using the loopback instead of re-finding my hdhomerun..
I didnt need to re-add my liscense key. Problem Solved. |
