NHL GameCentre Live?

Has anyone tried to incorporate the live feeds from the NHL Network or their subscription service NHL GameCentre Live? It looks as though they use Flash Player so I don't think the feeds would be supported via the media extender but it would be cool if they could be.

For me, with PlayOn/Hulu support coming, a good OTA setup -- NHL hockey is the only thing keeping me on a subscription to my satellite provider so it would be great to find a way to play and/or record the live feeds from the web.

It's a flash/MS based player and requires authentication which basically excludes the media extenders as a playback option. And since I only use media extenders, I won't be investigating it any further. However, as a Centre Ice subscriber, with full access to the online streams for free, if there was a way I could watch the games on my HD100 via the online service on demand instead of having to consume a tuner on game nights to record the games then I'd be all for it.

Seeing as though you server would be playing it back and serving it to the extenders sort of like what they did with Playon, I would imagine someone here could indeed get this to work, definitely no shortage of brilliant minds in this place and the reason why I came to sage in the first place.

I dont see the free trial skiier, just says special pricing until 10/31

Does Playon/Hulu help those of us in the Great White North?

Found this thread and it sounds like the developer is working on something for Flash Player feeds: http://forums.sagetv.com/forums/show...370#post386370

PlayOn might help but Hulu won't as their content is for US residents only (or those who can fake a US IP address).

The "free trial" was an offer made on the BellTV website so might be one of those rare offers that just Canadians get? I clicked on the link and was taken to the NHL.com site and didn't see the offer either so who knows....it's Bell after all.

Which you can do with a VPN service but I wonder how it works with Sage? Do you have to have the VPN connection running on your router, or just on your Sage server?
