HD Theater over WiFi

I have been running the HD Theater (HD200) over 802.11n and having a good amount of success and frustration. I would like to hear about anyone else's experience with this if you feel like posting.

Sage server is upstairs in a small 1350 sq ft house. Signal strength is at max. Using Netgear 3300 router on 2.4ghz band with N/B/G. Using D-Link n-card in server.
Extender quality set to high in Advanced properties.
Recordings are MP2 at Great quality.
Recordings are ATSC and digital (QAM) recordings off comcast cable.
Running SageMC interface with a few plugins.

Found that my oder D-Link 615 router was causing much delay and issues. After replacing it with Netgear this setup is working much better. Latency and bandwith both turn out to be critical, low ping times and sustaned 5mb/s required with peaks up to 10mb/s.
It worked fine over 802.11g, but I am activly running at 130mbs N-network.

Found some interferance from my baby-monitor was causing some issues.
the latency of your network will have alot to do with the speed of the extender. When working well the cursor should move quickly in the menus and playback should be smooth and uninterupted during HD playback.

Found that fan-art slows down the UI more than I like so I turned it off in the extender. Same could be true for album art.

Try sticking some popcorn in the microwave. That brought my old wireless MVP to its knees every time.
